would rather say “you electrify my life” than “i love you” to my next gf
my plan for work today;
process purchase orders in the morning, work on invoices in the afternoon
work’s plan for me today;
co-worker out sick today, 7 check requests that need to go out today
i’m 38, so i don’t get a birthday
but i did get a excellent day with mom and dad. we went for a walk at rockefeller state park. turns out we walk the same paths, but at different locations. we were hungry after the walk and decided to see if the restaurant was open, it wasn’t till 5. so we went back to their hotel where we watch mythbusters. it’s been 6 months since i’ve seen them on discovery channel and it was the confederate rocket myth… again!
at 5, we headed to the mughal palace and were the first customers for the dinner rush. we all enjoyed our meal and even eating slowly we were done at 6pm. which wasn’t bad since we were headed to main street sweets for dessert.
i haven’t exercised for the past month, only counting my calories. i haven’t lost or gained weight either. tonight was my last ice cream treat for a while so i went out with a bang; cherry vanilla in a waffle cone. a small one as well.
it was a good day spent with great people. thanks mom and dad
human imagination is so rich because human reality is so poor
yesterday i joined mom and dad for breakfast at their favorite place; the star diner. they were heading back to south carolina after visiting brian and i. they helped him move, came over to dinner at my apt and of course we did the major ethnic groups for dinner. no wasabi this time, but santorini twice. i was pleasantly surprised to find out that santorini’s split pea soup is vegetarian
during the day mom and dad visited friends, got haircuts, eye exams and the good parking spots(i had to circle the block twice at the star diner)
after a great breakfast; cup of grits mmm, i went food shopping. walking into the store i noticed how warm it was. when i left 45 mins later, it was hot(i was wearing 2 shirts and jeans) by the time i got home it was nice enough to go for my walk. i changed into my sweats, grabbed my kanteen and headed to the trail. i walked mostly since the past week i didnt exercise or count calories. mom and dad spoil me. i walked 2 hours in total and burned off 690 calories.
i did notice this morning that this weekend didnt feel rushed
Mom was forced to watch so much Seinfeld she blocked most of it out
Mom and dad are visiting this week and they’re staying at a hotel. I went over the other night and we were waiting to hear from brian about getting together for dinner. Mom says to me “dad brought his bathing suit if you want to go swimming” I had to reply, “I don’t want my boys down where dad’s boys were”
I’d rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it
